Pastor Corey S. Brooks was born and raised in Catawba County of North Carolina and resided there until his first call brought him to Warren Counter to serve as pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Pastor Corey Brooks is married to his beautiful wife Kristen and together they have one daughter Avery Grace. Pastor Corey’s first mission trip to the remote Arctic Village of Alaska is what led Pastor Corey to enter into pastoral ministry. In April of 2017, Pastor Corey received his degree in Leadership and Ministry from Grace Christian University. In April of 2018, Pastor Corey received his Theological Diploma from Corcordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Pastor Corey was ordained into the Office of The Holy Ministry on July 15th, 2018 at his home congregation of St. John’s Lutheran in Ridgeway, NC where he served the saints there from July of 2018 to August of 2023. Pastor Corey began his service to the saints of FELC on Sunday, August 20th, 2023. After a long wait and trusting in God’s faithfulness, what a blessing and joy it is to welcome Pastor Corey, Kristen and Avery Brooks as the newest members of our First Evangelical Lutheran family.
